Unwise for KV Thomas to attend CPM event without considering history of Kannur; says K Muraleedharan

Kozhikode: MP K Muraleedharan said it is not ideal for KV Thomas to attend the seminar conducted as part of the ongoing CPM 23rd Party Congress.

"It is sad to see a leader of his calibre leaving the party. I think he failed to sort out the problem he had inside the party," Muraleedharann said. He also pointed out that KV Thomas is well aware of the consequences if he attends the seminar disregarding the warnings of the party.

"CPM Party Congress is held in Kerala. It is worth remembering that the CPM unit in the state wishes to see the end of Congress in Kerala. Therefore, it is not ideal for him to attend the seminar. It would have been fine if it was held in another state. It is also worth remembering that Kannur is a place that witnessed the political killing of several Congress activists. By taking advantage of the situation, CPM is trying to create an internal conflict inside our party," he said.
