Sreehari's house
Kottarakkara: Madathiyara village is still shaken up over the mysterious death of a man from their locality, Sreehari. Neighbours said the events that took place during the two days before his death were very dramatic.
Sreehari had a good reputation among locals even though he used to bicker at his house constantly. Sreehari used to run a shop and owned a few domestic animals.
According to the locals - On Tuesday evening, police arrived in three vehicles and tried to follow Sreehari. Sreehari first escaped by running, got on his bike and fled as the police followed him. He is then said to have escaped through a narrow passage. Police again arrived at his place the other day. This time in five vehicles. They lined up around his house, caught him and were trying to get him on the police jeep when he said that he wanted to feed his goat. Sreehari entered his house and committed suicide after that.
The locals also said that he had mentioned suicide if he were to ever come into the hands of the police. The police officers said they arrived in large numbers as Sreehari was an aggressive man. Police also said that Sreehari had gotten into a fight with his wife last night, hit her, and broken the appliances in their house.
However, the police dismissed the claim of the villagers that Sreehari was forced to enter the jeep. The locals are also blaming the police for the poor handling of the case.
