Thiruvananthapuram: Police on Sunday arrested three more persons accused in the attempted murder of SFI activist Akhil at the University college here.
They were identified as Adwait, Aaromal and Aadil. All three are members of the dismissed SFI unit in the college. They are the 4th ,5th and 6th accused in the case.
Earlier, the police had issued a lookout notice against eight persons including the three arrested. Police are searching for five more including former SFI unit president Shivaranjith, former SFI unit secretary Nazeem, former SFI unit members Amar, Ibrahim and Ranjith.
On Sunday morning, police had recorded the arrest of SFI activist Ijob, who was taken into custody the day before. Ijab will be produced before court on Sunday.
A native of Nemom, Ijab is one among the 30 accused named in the case. He is a member of the dismissed SFI unit committee in the college. Ijab is one of the 30 accused besides the 8 major accused named by police.
