University college issue: Governor calls PSC chairman, Kerala University VC for meeting


The Kerala University VC is likely to meet the Governor at the Raj Bhavan around 4 pm on Friday. Meanwhile, the PSC chairman, who is out of station, is likely to meet the Governor on Monday.

Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Justice P. Sathasivam has intervened in the University college issue once again calling the Kerala University Vice Chancellor (VC) and PSC chairman for a meeting in connection with the Thiruvananthapuram University college issue.

Justice P. Sathasivam’s decision comes soon after leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala met the Governor seeking his intervention into the University college and PSC rank list issues.

Earlier, Ramesh Chennithala had met the Governor alleging that there were irregularities in PSC. The UDF leader also claimed that Kerala university had lost its credibility after its answer sheets were recovered from the house of Shivaranjith, the primary accused in the University college murder attempt case.

The Governor called the PSC chairman and Kerala University VC to find out if there were any truth in the opposition leader’s allegations.

The Kerala University VC is likely to meet the Governor at the Raj Bhavan around 4 pm on Friday. Meanwhile, the PSC chairman, who is out of station, is likely to meet the Governor on Monday.
