University College issue: Appointment of accused will be postponed, says PSC Chairman
Thiruvananthapuram: PSC chairman M. K. Sakeer said that the appointment of the students who are involved in the stabbing case in University College will be postponed. He also made it clear in a press meet held here that PSC vigilance will investigate whether any irregularities took place in the incident.
Chairman said that SFI unit president Shivaranjith, secretary Nazeem and Pranav, who are included in the police constable rank list, would not be given the appointment memo until the probe report is submitted.
There was no irregularity in the exam centres allotted to them. The accused in the University College issue applied for the PSC exam from Kasaragod district, but opted Thiruvananthapuram as the centre. The allegations that their exam centres were changed are baseless, PSC chairman added.
The register numbers of the accused persons were not adjacent. PSC has not made any adjustment for the accused. People should not initiate campaigns that destroy the credibility of PSC, he requested.
