Thiruvananthapuram: The union office in Thiruvananthapuram University College will be shut down. The Additional Director of Education directed to convert the union office into a classroom.
The Additional Director of Education also made it clear that once the conversion of the office into classroom is complete, the college will reopen from the next day onwards. In view of conflicts and violence, they have also sought police help.
Meanwhile, the Additional Director of Education responded that there were no lapses from the part of the principal in connection with the stabbing issue in University College. No restriction has been imposed on the teachers. So, the union activities will be restricted.
Further action on the issue will be taken based on the probe commission report. Preliminary actions in this regard has already started, the Additional Director of Education clarified.
