Shobha Karandlaje at Njaraneeli

Palode: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje visited Njaraneeli tribal hamlet to examine the issues faced by the tribal population here. The minister arrived at Palode following the request put forward by Mahila Morcha national committee member and Peringamala panchayat member Bindu Suresh.

The residents of the hamlet and BJP leaders extended a warm welcome to the minister. Later, the minister listened to the needs and complaints of the people and enquired if they are availing the benefits of central government schemes. The BJP leaders alleged that the programmes of the union government are being dispensed here by changing its name.

The natives raised complaints like shortage of working days under MGNREGA, delay in obtaining wages, obstacles faced in constructing roads and erecting electric poles due to irregularities in the Forest Rights Act, drug abuse in the locality, animal attacks, and drawbacks in the reservation at government services. The BJP activists and the tribal people requested the minister to take action to solve these issues.

Minister had meals with the tribals along with BJP district secretary S Suresh and other leaders.
