Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visits Padmanabha Swamy temple; meets CM
Thiruvanathapuram: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan here at Cliff House on Tuesday. Irrespective of political affiliation, they cherished their friendship and also held talks on development in Kerala.
Gadkari arrived in Kerala for a personal visit at Chief Minister’s house to renew their friendship. Even BJP leadership was not informed about Gadkari’s visit to Kerala with his family.
He spent around one hour with Pinarayi Vijayan. The ministers discussed development of National Highway, fisheries and ports.
Gadkari and family left Chief Minister’s official residence after having lunch.
This was Nitin Gadkari’s first personal visit to Kerala after reassuming charge at ministry of road transport and highways. Five days ago, he arrived at Kovalam and visited Kanyakumari.
On Tuesday, the union minister accompanied by his family arrived at the Kerala assembly house and held talks with the Chief Minister.
He was very particular in avoiding media as he was on a personal visit. In Kerala, Gadkari enjoyed his tour and had shopping at a supermarket in the town.
Wearing Kerala traditional attire, the union minister and family paid obeisance to Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple on Tuesday evening. After visiting the temple, Nitin Gadkari and family purchased handicrafts from SSM institute run by government. He left to Mumbai by evening.
