Attapadi: Health minister Veena George paid a surprise visit to the community health centre at Agali on Saturday. She promised to offer an ambulance with a ventilator facility to Agali Primary health centre. She will visit the Anganwadis and Ooru (a place where tribal communities live) where child deaths occurred in Agali.
She had already visited the Anganwadis when she last paid a visit to Bodichala Ooru. Currently, she is visiting the Kottathara Tribal Speciality Hospital. She checked every block in the hospital and talked to senior doctors.
Veena George's surprise visit was done even without informing the DMO. The visit was in the background of growing complaints about corruption and unjust happenings in Attapadi.
