Konni: In a tragic incident, a girl committed suicide out of fear that she would not be able to pursue graduation owing to financial difficulties. The deceased has been identified as Adithya (17), daughter of late Sasikumar and Usha, natives of Konni, Pathanamthitta.
As per reports, Adithya had told her mother about her desire to pursue B.Sc. for graduation after clearing her plus two examinations. However, Usha advised her to opt for some other course due to financial difficulties.
A suicide note was also recovered from the girl’s room which indicated that she decided to kill herself as she would not be able join the course of her choice. The body was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside her room.
Meanwhile, necessary procedures were carried out by the police upon the direction of Konni tehsildar Manjusha.
