UNA fraud case: HC directs to form SIT
Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram: The high court has ordered to form a special investigation team and complete the investigation into the fraud case registered in connection with the corruption allegations in United Nurses Association (UNA).
The court intervened in the petition filed by UNA national president Jasmine Shah demanding to quash the case. Jasmine Shah had approached the high court pointing out that the case is baseless and the investigation is delayed unnecessarily and demanded to quash the case.
Considering this petition, the court asked to form a special investigation team and complete the probe on time. Meanwhile, Crime Branch stated in the court that Jasmine Shah who was named accused in the case is absconding.
