Uduma former MLA P Raghavan

Kasaragod: CPM veteran and trade union leader P Raghavan passed away in the early hours on Tuesday at around 2 am. He was 77 and was suffering from age-related ailments.

The CPM veteran represented Udma constituency in Kasaragod at the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1991 and 1996. He was also the president of Bedadka grama panchayat.

Raghavan was CPM district secretariat member for more than three decades and played a vital role in setting up many cooperative societies.

He has also served as district convenor of LDF, director of Dinesh Beedi, state vice-president and district president of CITU.

He is survived by wife Kamala, children Ajith Kumar and Arun Raghavan.
