UDF will work together in Pala: Benny Behanan
Pala: United Democratic Front (UDF) convenor Benny Behanan on Tuesday said that the front will work together for the Pala bypoll.
Addressing a media conference here, Benny Behanan said that CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Blakrishnan need not think about securing victory in Pala by creating issues in Congress and that such a move will not work.
“UDF will take the initiative and solve the issues within the front. UDF will also take responsibility not to let such issues happen in the future. People booing P.J. Joseph at the UDF election convention cannot be justified. UDF does not justify such untoward incidents. Such incidents will not happen again,” he said.
Benny Behanan said that in Pala, UDF candidate Jose Tom will win with a better margin than what the front managed last time. The second stage of UDF’s election campaign will start after Thiruvonam. All UDF leaders including P.J. Joseph will take part in the campaigns, he added.
UDF leadership intervened after the fight between P.J. Joseph and Jose K. Mani groups of Kerala Congress (M) intensified. UDF had held conciliation talks with Joseph group.
