“If they follow the agreement, there is no problem in taking them back. Even P. J. Joseph clarified this,” the UDF convenor said.

Kochi: UDF convenor Benny Behanan said that Kerala Congress (M) Jose K Mani faction can return to the front if they follow the agreement regarding Kottayam district panchayat president post.

The UDF has not ousted Jose K Mani faction, they have been kept away, the Congress leader said while addressing a press conference in Kochi.

“Following their refusal to honour the agreement, Jose K Mani faction lost their right to remain in the UDF. If they follow the agreement, there is no problem in taking them back. Even P. J. Joseph clarified this,” Benny Behanan said.

He added that UDF never ousted K. M. Mani and that he has always been respected.

“K. M. Mani is one of the founding leaders of UDF. His political stance is against LDF. It is the LDF that hurt him the most,” Benny Behanan said.
