Alappuzha: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that the UDF will dismantle Kerala Bank if voted to power. The Congress leader was addressing the media on the sidelines of ‘Aishwarya Kerala Yathra’ here on Tuesday.

“Kerala Bank was formed illegally. It will lead to the collapse of co-operative organisations. UDF will dismantle Kerala Bank if voted to power. Kerala Bank completely defeats the purposes of co-operative organisations,” said Ramesh Chennithala.

The Congress leader demanded to stop temporary and consultancy appointments. “If the UDF comes to power, we will review all backdoor appointments. The government must let go of its stubbornness. The Chief Minister is showing arrogance and is moving forward with the intention to regularise more of his people. The other day, the cabinet meeting also regularised hundreds of people,” he added.

Ramesh Chennithala questioned why the CM was not interested in solving the protest by PSC rank holders. “This is a cruel act. There are facts in PSC rank holders stating that the rank list expired due to reasons beyond their control. The rank list for CPOs is an example for this. PSC freezed the list after the accused in the university stabbing case was named in the list,” he pointed out.
