Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM state secretariat issued a statement that the UDF is trying to create a riot utilising the PSC rank holders’ protest in front of the Secretariat.

One faction of the protesters demanded that the expired PSC rank list should be restored. It is clear that they are protesting for a matter that is legally not practical. Majority of the protesting candidates withdrew from the protest after the Chief Minister cleared the doubts. The remaining candidates should consider if they should be subjected to the political game of UDF.

The state government created thousands of new posts in recent days and more people from PSC rank lists will be appointed. The LDF government appointed 1,57,909 people through PSC within five years. 50,000 people were given jobs in various sectors through a 100-day action plan. The government had made it clear through the budget speech that 20 lakh vacancies will be created.

But the UDF is trying to unleash fake campaigns against LDF fearing that its achievements will lead to continuity of the government. People should remain alert against the political games of UDF. Protest marches should be organised in district and area centres on Thursday and Friday, the CPM secretariat demanded in the statement.
