UDF reorganises district committees; Monce Joseph is Kottayam district chairman
Thiruvananthapuram: UDF has reorganised its district committees. Granting Kottayam district chairman’s post to PJ Joseph faction of Kerala Congress, UDF has elected MLA Monce Joseph as the new Kottayam district chairman.
Meanwhile, UDF district convenor posts in Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Ernakulam were also given to PJ Joseph faction. Kottayam UDF district chairman post was occupied by Kerala Congress Mani faction for long years.
Now, UDF has reorganised the district committees after considering Jose K Mani’s entry to LDF and announcement of Local Self-Government elections.
The UDF meeting held recently has approved the reorganisation of the committees.
Meanwhile, Palakkad district chairman and Alappuzha district convenor will be selected later. New committees were selected in all districts except Palakkad and Alappuzha. Other office-bearers will continue in their respective posts.
