Four persons who died in Kerala have been confirmed with the virus on Saturday.

Sulthan Bathery/Kochi: Two more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Kerala. Aluva Nalam Mile native Chellappan (72) and Thalassery native Laila (62) were confirmed with the virus.

Chellappan was taken to a private hospital on Friday after he collapsed. He died on Saturday noon. An antigen test conducted afterwards confirmed that he was COVID-19 positive. His source is yet to be identified.

Laila had died at Bathery in Wayanad district. She was being brought to her native from Bengaluru in a mobile ICU ambulance. On the way, she complained of discomfort and died on the way to a hospital.

The subsequent TrueNat test held in Bathery confirmed that she was COVID-19 positive. Her funeral will be held at Wayanad according to coronavirus protocol.
