Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram zoo is all set to welcome new members. Along with two bears, a pair of green iguanas will be brought from Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad on Monday. Thiruvananthapuram zoo authority has already handed over four pairs of rhea birds to the Hyderabad zoo instead of the animals taken from them. A team led by the zoo superintendent of Thiruvananthapuram visited Hyderabad last week.
The newly brought animals will be exhibited on the next day in Thiruvananthapuram zoo. The officials have decided to exchange a few more animals with the other zoological parks in the country.
The indoor zoological park has given consent to hand over a lion to Thiruvananthapuram zoo. The lion will reach here soon after obtaining permission to transfer it.
