Thiruvananthapuram: Police arrested a man for sexually assaulting girls he met while working as a food delivery boy.

Vithura police arrested Akhil (21), residing in a rented house in Kamaleswaram, for abducting a girl he met through the food delivery app.

According to the police, Akhil established relationships with girls who ordered food online and sexually assaulted them after promising to marry them.

He similarly met a Vithura native. Later, her parents filed a complaint with the police on January 24, alleging that she was missing. Police conducted an investigation based on her phone records and located the girl in Ernakulam.

Police recorded the arrest of Akhil after collecting the girl's statement. She also told police that he sexually assaulted her.

Two years ago, Akhil eloped with a girl while working as a delivery boy in Vattiyoorkavu. He later married the girl and now has an eight-month-old daughter.
