TVM Police conduct raids, nab 107 wanted criminals

Thiruvananthapuram: The police here on Saturday arrested 107 wanted criminals after conducting raids in various parts of the district. According to police, 13 among the arrested are dangerous criminals.

Thiruvananthapuram rural SP took leadership of the special raids which were carried out from the wee hours of Saturday. The police took the move after examining that the absconding criminals returned to the district in connection with Onam.

The accused will be produced before the court and remanded.

It is for the first time in the history of Thiruvananthapuram, that such a huge number of criminals got arrested on the same day. Among the 107 wanted criminals in custody, 94 have been absconding from the police after various courts issued a warrant against them. Other 13 accused are booked in cases including goonda activities.

The raids were conducted at Varkala, Attingal, Nedumangad and Kattakkada police station limits.
