Man who poured hot gruel at neighbour arrested in TVM


Thiruvananthapuram: Neyyattinkara police arrested Akhilesh (29) from Avanakuzhi for attacking his neighbour as he questioned his act of tying dogs on roadside.

The alleged incident happened on October 8. Akhilesh, residing near KV Hospital, used to tie dogs on the roadside. His neighbour Kannan questioned this irked over the continuous barking of the dog. Kannan demanded Akhilesh to tie the dogs away from the road on that day.

Angry at this, Akhilesh poured hot gruel over Kannan. Immediately after the incident, Akhilesh went absconding but police nabbed him based on a complaint filed by Kannan.

Meanwhile, Kannan is undergoing treatment for burns in a hospital.
