Shukkur
Thiruvananthapuram: Shukkur, a 60-year-old man from Kottumoola region near Varkkala here has been arrested by the police over a complaint that he attempted to sexually assault a mentally challenged minor girl.
The 17-year-old girl along with her mother used to visit Shukkur’s shop for buying household goods. According to the complaint, the man lured the girl into his shop by offering her ice cream, when she visited the shop alone. The man then tried to assault her inside the shop.
Meanwhile, the police nabbed the man from Vallikadavu in Varkkala.
He was produced before the court and was remanded.
