Vellarada (Thiruvananthapuram): A 15-year-old boy died after being bitten by a cobra in Poozhanadu, Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased has been identified as Abhinav Sunil, son of auto driver Sunil Kumar and Manjusha.
Abhinav was a class 10 student at Loyola School, Poozhanadu. The incident took place on Thursday evening while he was studying at his house.
Soon after, the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital and later taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, but to no avail.
Meanwhile, the forest department officials arrived at the house around night and caught the snake which had been hiding in a corner of the house.
Abhinav is survived by his parents and sister Alomana Sunil.
