TVM all set to receive people arriving on borders: District Administration


A total of 500 persons can be accommodated at a time in the auditorium near the checkpost.

Thiruvananthapuram: The district administration informed that all facilities have been arranged as per government instruction to receive people from other states.

The facilities for this purpose have been arranged in Amaravila which shares its borders with Tamil Nadu. Parking facility is arranged on both sides of the road. A total of 500 persons can be accommodated at a time in the auditorium near the checkpost.

Also drinking water, separate restrooms for men and women, health check-up facility, ambulance, wheel chair and food are also arranged at the place. The vehicles passing through the checkpost will be sanitized and the passengers will be subjected to thermal scanning. Those who have symptoms will be shifted to hospitals in ambulances.

Others will be sent home and subjected to compulsory home-quarantine for 14 days. A special registration counter has been set up for those who are coming without registration. The entire area will be sanitized at regular intervals, informed the district administration.
