Kollam: A tugboat carrying migrant labourers which was going to Kochi from Kollam port capsized at Chavara-Puthenthura on Monday. The incident took place at 6 am. The labourers, who are natives of Assam, managed to escape with minor injuries.
According to reports, the boat lost control due to technical fault in its propeller. Following which, it turned over during strong waves and landed ashore.
