Kozhikode: Nine people were injured in an accident involving a tourist mini bus near Kuttiady on Tuesday night.
The bus going from Kuttiady to Vadakara crashed into a tree while trying to avoid hitting a bike, which had come in the wrong direction.
Meanwhile, tourist taxi employees staged a protest in front of Kuttiady Taluk hospital, alleging that the police were not ready to file a case against the bike rider.
The protestors also stopped letting the bike rider leave the hospital after police arranged an auto and asked him to leave the premises.
The protestors demanded a medical examination of the bike rider. The police said that they would complete all the necessary steps.
