Kochi: Telangana Police on Tuesday conducted raids in Kollam in connection to the sensational MLA poaching.

Earlier, Telangana chief minister and patron of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), K Chandrasekhar Rao, had levelled a slew of allegations against BJP that the national party tried to ‘buy’ TRS MLAs. He released videos to prove his claims. In one of the videos, Rao said BDJS Thushar Vellappally was talking to the MLAs for arranging a meeting with top BJP leaders.

The Telangana CM accused Thushar of having spoken to TRS MLAs to assure them of the defection deal. The probe team said that Thushar's role in the incident is being investigated. Meanwhile, Tushar said the probe team didn't approach him. He also reiterated that he had no role to play in the incident.

The prime accused in the case is Satheesh Sharma, alias Ramachandra Bharathi, a Kasaragod native. He is currently in judicial custody. The probe team arrived in Kerala to nab his friend Jagguswami. However, he is in hiding. The raids were conducted in Kochi and Kollam to find his whereabouts.
