New Delhi: CPM leader M Swaraj filed an application for injunction at the Supreme Court in connection with the Tripunithura election case. The plea urged the top court to hear his side also if Congress MLA K Babu moves the Supreme Court in future.

The Kerala High Court has dismissed the objection petition submitted by Tripunithura MLA K Babu against going forward with the plea filed by LDF candidate M Swaraj challenging Babu’s election in the Assembly polls in 2021.

Swaraj has accused Babu of using religious symbols during his campaign and sought to declare the latter’s election as invalid.
