Triple lockdown in TVM: KSRTC services reorganized, lottery draw postponed

Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of triple lockdown declared in the state capital, the draw of state lottery for one week since Monday has been postponed. The new dates will be announced later.

The KSRTC bus services within corporation limits have been reorganized. As public transport is banned inside the city, bus services will not be conducted from Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram city, Thiruvananthapuram central, Peroorkada, Vikas Bhavan and Vizhinjam units.

At MC Road, ordinary buses from Nedumangad and Venjaramoodu depots will conduct services till Maruthoor junction. On Attingal – Thiruvananthapuram route, services will cease at Kaniyapuram. In Malayinkeezhu – Peyad route, it will end at Kundamankadavu. In case of Malayinkeezhu – Pappanamcode route, it will end at Pamamcode.

On the Thiruvananthapuram – Kaliyikkaliva route, services will end at Pravachambalam and return through Valiyarathala. In case of Vizhinjam – Poovar route, services will end at Chappath and on Proorkada – Nedumangad route, it will end at Aram Kallu junction.

Arrangements have been made to transport airport and railway station staff. Special services will be conducted by KSRTC buses to take foreign and other state returnees from airport and railway station.

If required services will be conducted for health workers from district Collectorate.

KSRTC relay services will be conducted from Kollam to Alappuzha routes.

The long distance services to Thiruvananthapuram will end at national highway in Attingal and in Venjaramoodu on MC Road.

No KSRTC offices or workshops in city will function. However, no restriction has been imposed on security, control room, ticket and cash counters.

Meanwhile, Travancore Devaswom Board President N Vasu said that the office in Nanthancode and in corporation limits will not be opened for one week.
