Kollam Vlogger booked under non-bailable charges for tresppasing into forest area

Kollam: The forest department of Kerala has booked a woman vlogger for ‘trespassing’ into the forest and trying to scare a wild elephant.

Vlogger Amala Anu had posted video of her 'adventure' on YouTube. The decision of the forest department comes after verifying the footage. She entered the Ambazhathara reserve forest in Kollam and shot visuals of the wild elephant using helicam.

Trespassing into the property of the forest department is punishable under Section 27 of the Kerala Forest Act 1961. The section is non-bailable.

She may get a three year punishment and fine of Rs 1,000 if proven guilty.
