Kollam: The trawling ban imposed in the state will end on Sunday at midnight. The fisherfolk is preparing to get their boats back on the water after completing all maintenance works and adding the final touches.
The maintenance works of boats that were decked up on the shores for 52 days amounted to lakhs. The ice plants that were closed for several days have also been opened in view of the lift of ban. The department has decided to take strict action against those who capture small fishes.
