Artists Shaiju K Maloor, Vipin Iritty, Benny Devassy and Chandran Mottammal drawing pictures at SM Street
Kohikode: ‘Travel Brush’, a collective of artists, visited Kozhikode as part of their mission to know about India and introduce the cultural heritage of the country to the world through art. The members of the collective visited Vadakara, Lokanarkavu and Beypore.
The Travel Brush artists also conducted a live art session and exhibition of paintings at SM Street here under the leadership of Lions Club of Calicut Silver Hills. Artists Shaiju K Maloor, Vipin Iritty, Benny Devassy and Chandran Mottammal, part of Travel Brush, are travelling to different places to draw pictures.
The Travel Brush members keep interacting with the public at every place to understand their culture and then start painting. Apart from the live painting session, they also exhibited about 30 pictures they already created during the journey.
“We plan to complete the journey within one and a half years. We find the expense for the journey by selling the paintings we draw during the trip,” they said. The team started their trip from Malik Deenar Juma Masjid in Kasaragod. They reached Kozhikode after visiting Kannur and Wayanad.
