Transgender model caught selling MDMA drugs through Telegram app in Kochi

Kochi: A transgender model was nabbed by excise officials for possessing MDMA drugs in Kochi. The arrested person was identified as Deeksha (Sreeraj-24), hailing from Kuthiyathodu near Cherthala. Ernakulam range excise officials seized 8.5 grams of MDMA from her.

According to the officials, Deeksha sold drugs through Telegram groups. On Wednesday, the Kochi City Metro Shadow team caught her from an apartment in Vazhakala based on the information that she was supplying drugs to transgenders. It was also revealed that she used to stay in various hotels to meet customers and sell drugs.

She bought MDMA for Rs 2,000 per gram and sold it for a price ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 7,000 to potential customers. She was produced before the court and remanded.
