Trains to stop at Mukkali, Nadapuram road railway stations from May 6 onwards

Onchiyam: Southern Railway has granted permission for 6 trains to halt at Mukkali and Nadapuram road railway stations from May 6 onwards. Kannur-Coimabtore (16607), Mangalapuram-Coimbatore (16324), Kannur-Shoranur Memu (06024), Coimbatore-Kannur (16608), Coimbatore-Mangalapuram (16323), Shoranur-Kannur Memu(06023) are the six trains which will have stop at these two railway stations.

PK Krishnadas, chairman of the User Forum Railway Passengers' Amenity Committee, had filed a petition seeking permission to stop trains at Mukkali railway station where trains had stopped halting following the pandemic.

Following his discussions with Southern Railway employees, the railway decided to allow stop for trains at this railway station. Earlier, passengers raised strong protest as no trains were stopped at Mukkali and Nadapuram road railway stations even after almost all trains resumed service.
