Trains to Kerala via Chennai Central diverted due to maintenance works

Chennai: Train services to Kerala via Chennai Central will be diverted due to ongoing maintenance works at the Chennai division. The Southern Railways have reportedly decided to divert the trains through Perambur station and the services will have a stop at the station too.

As per the directive, services namely Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express (13351) departing from Dhanbad at 11.35 am on February 20, Indore Junction-Kochuveli Express (22645) departing from Indore Junction at 4.45 pm on February 20, Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express (13352) departing from Alappuzha at 4 pm on February 23 and Kochuveli-Korba bi-weekly Express (22648) departing from Kochuveli on February 23, will not arrive at Chennai Central station.

Passengers who have booked tickets for these services from Chennai can board from Perambur station.

In addition, the Palakkad-Chennai Express (22652) departing on February 21 at 4.10 pm will be diverted through Dindigul, Vizhupuram (Villupuram) and Chennai Egmore.

The diverted trains will have stops at Tiruchirappalli, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Egmore, said the authorities.
