Trains including Jan Shatabdi cancelled due to maintenance works

Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of the ongoing track maintenance works in Thrissur, the southern railways have imposed restrictions on train services scheduled on February 26 and 27.

As per the latest notification, Thiruvananthapuram-Kannur Jan Shatabdi Express, Ernakulam-Shoranur MEMU and Ernakulam-Guruvayur Express, scheduled to depart on Sunday, have been cancelled.

In addition, Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express has also been cancelled on February 27. Bengaluru Express, scheduled to depart from Kanyakumari on February 26, will be delayed by two hours.

Meanwhile, Kannur-Ernakulam Express will be short-terminated at Thrissur on February 26, and Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Mail will depart from Thrissur at 8.43 pm on February 26.

However, the KSRTC has begun operating more long-distance bus services on account of the cancellation of various train services.
