Kerala rains: Trains cancelled, delayed, diverted on Wednesday

Kochi: Train services in central Kerala will be disrupted on Wednesday due to heavy rains across the state. Kayamkulam-Ernakulam passenger (56380) commencing at 8.50 am has been cancelled.

Ernad Express, Bilaspur Superfast and Raptisagar Express are expected to run late by one, two and six hours, respectively.

Parasuram Express (16650) from Nagercoil to Mangaluru will go to Ernakulam Town station instead of Ernakulam Junction.

Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi (12081), Secunderabad-TVM Sabari Express diverted through Alappuzha. They will stop at Cherthala, Alappuzha and Ambalapuzha stations.

Ernakulam-Kottayam-Kollam MEMU (06769) will commence service from Thripunithura.

Ernakulam-Kottayam-Kollam MEMU (06443) will commence from Mulanthuruthy.

Earlier, several trains were partially cancelled and delayed on Tuesday due to rains.

IMD has sounded a yellow alert in all districts in Kerala on Wednesday.
