Train service resumes from Kozhikode railway station; waits for late passenger
Kozhikode: Train service resumed in Kozhikode railway station on Monday after the COVID lockdown norms were relaxed. The first train was Janshatabdi to Thiruvananthapuram that started at 1 pm. A total of 314 passengers were on the first train. The passengers were examined at Platform 1 before letting them enter the train on Platform 3.
By the time, train started moving, a woman and her daughter came running to board it and the guard stopped the train for them. The woman was to board the train and her daughter to see her off, but were late due to traffic block. Railway SI Jamsheed asked the officer on the train to help the lady find a seat. As soon as she got into the train, it started moving again.
Mangala-Nizamuddin Express from Thiruvananthapuram arrived at Kozhikode by 5 in the evening. 125 passengers boarded the train. Though 38 reservations were made from Kozhikode for Netravati Express from Thiruvananthapuram which starts at 6.40 pm, only 27 boarded the train from here.
