Thrissur: Devi Krishna (28), a native of VR Puram in Chalakkudy, succumbed to injuries from a fall she sustained while trying to escape from an approaching train.
Devi Krishna, along with Fausia (35, a native of VR Puram) were walking along the railway track as the road was waterlogged. When they saw a speeding train approaching, they moved away from the tracks but fell into a ditch. Devi Krishna was severely injured in the fall and succumbed to injuries.
