Track maintenance: Kerala-TN trains to be partially cancelled, rerouted

Thiruvananthapuram: Railways have decided to partially cancel and reroute certain train services between Kerala and Tamil Nadu because of the track maintenance works in Virudhunagar and Vanchi Maniyachchi railway sections.

Tiruchirapalli- Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express (22627) will end its service at Virudhunagar on May 3 and 17. The return service will commence from Virudhunagar Junction railway station.

The Guruvayur- Chennai Egmore Express (16128) will be rerouted via Tirunelveli- Tenkasi- Virudhunagar route on May 2 and 16. Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti and Sattur stations will be avoided on these days.
