Tourist bus driver misbehaves with girl, quarrel ends up in huge brawl

Adimali: A tourist bus driver has been booked for misbehaving with a student who went for an excursion from school in the same tourist bus. Adimali police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against Kollam- Anchal native Sudhakaran Nair over a complaint.

A clash broke out between students, the driver, and staff at a hotel in Adimali following the incident. A few students were injured in the brawl.

As many as 90 Plus Two students had started their excursion from Kollam in two tourist buses to Munnar. The incident happened when the other students deboarded the bus to have food at a restaurant in Adimali. The complainant who was on the bus noticed the driver drinking liquor on his seat.

The driver refrained from consuming liquor as soon as the girl questioned it and also sought an apology from her. Irked with this incident, the driver did not allow the girl to take a photo with her friends from the front side of the bus and he pushed her when she reacted. Soon the teachers and students also intervened sparking a brawl on the spot.

At the same time, the students attacked the hotel owner when he attempted to rescue the driver. Immediately the staff in the hotel also joined the fight. The students who suffered injuries were admitted to the Taluk Hospital in Adimali. The case over the fight was compromised on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Adimali police recorded the statement of the girl against the driver. But the accused managed to move to a hideout soon. The students were returned to Kollam by arranging another vehicle.
