The auction that was scheduled to take place in Kannur sports council has been postponed.

Auction held at Excise office in Alappuzha

Thiruvananthapuram: Toddy shop auction took place in different parts of the state dismissing all the directives issued by the state government in the wake of coronavirus outbreak in the state. Hundreds of people took part in the auction. The auction was organised without taking into consideration the order banning gatherings in the state.

In Ernakulam, the auction was halted after journalists reached the spot. More than 200 people took part in the auction that was also attended by Excise officials as well.

Meanwhile, the auction is still going on in Thiruvananthapuram. In Malappuram, more than a hundred people gathered at the collectorate to take part in the auction.

The auction that was scheduled to take place in Kannur sports council has been postponed. The new date of the auction will be informed later. Youth congress workers rallied to the hall protesting against the auction, forcing the authorities to postpone the auction. In Alappuzha, the auction was held in excise office.
