Thiruvananthapuram: A one-and-a-half-year-old baby died in a road accident here on Monday. Rayan, son of Vengod native Abdul Rahim and his wife Hasna was playing outside his house in Pothencode when a yet-to-be identified vehicle hit him.
The family found the child lying in a pool of blood on the road. He was rushed to a private hospital in Kazhakootam, but could not be saved.
Pothencode police have registered a case. The vehicle that hit the child has not been recognised.
