Titanium job fraud: Police suspect embezzlement of Rs 15 crore

Thiruvananthapuram: In an update in the Titanium job fraud case, the police are of the opinion that a fraud of Rs 15 crore has taken place.

Reportedly, prime accused Divya Nair has told police of swindling huge sums of money and her diary contained details of transactions above Rs 1 crore.

Meanwhile, the Travancore Titanium Products Ltd. (TTP) has suspended its legal AGM Sasikumaran Thampi, who is the fifth accused in the case.

Police on Sunday arrested Divya Jyothi alias Divya Nair over the case. Following this, TTP took action against the legal AGM.

Divya’s husband Rajesh and Thampi’s friends Prem Kumar and Shyamlal are the other accused in the case. Though police nabbed Divya, all other accused are apparently on the run

According to reports, the accused operated the crime as a gang and embezzled huge amounts of money from job aspirants after promising employment in TTP.
