The deceased father-daughter duo
Malappuram: A 10-year-old girl and her father succumbed after being hit by a train in Tanur here. The deceased have been identified as Ajwa Marwa and Asees (42) hailing from Thalakkadathur.
The incident happened in the stretch between Tanur-Tirur railway stations. Asees and daughter were crossing the railway track and was hit by Mangaluru-Chennai Express train.
Father died on the spot while the daughter succumbed to her injuries at hospital. The bodies are kept in the mortuary of Tirur district hospital.
