Angamaly: The timely intervention of a nurse here in Ernakulam saved the life of a man who collapsed on a bus.The incident took place on Thursday morning.
Sheeba Aneesh, a staff nurse working at Apollo Adlux Hospital here was travelling back to her home in a KSRTC bus after her duty time.
During the travel, a youngster collapsed on the bus. Sheeba promptly intervened and took care of him.
She shifted him away from the footboard and examined his vital signs. Sheeba found that his pulse is weak.
She administered Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR, an emergency procedure done to preserve intact brain function by means of chest compressions and artificial ventilation) to him.
In her second administration, the person regained his consciousness.
Following this, he was rushed to a nearby private hospital.
Sheeba has been receiving a huge round of applause for her timely act.
