Wayanad: The forest department captured a tiger that entered a human habitat in Meenangadi on Thursday morning. The tiger got trapped in the cage set up by the department at the Kuppamudi estate.
The forest department has been monitoring the route of the tiger for the past few days. There has been a tiger’s presence in Meenangadi and Ambalapara panchayats. According to the forest department, there were two tigers in the area.
A search is ongoing in the estate for the second tiger. The tigers have, so far, hunted over 20 goats.
The forest department will take further action after inspecting the health, age and other details of the tiger.
