Kochi: BDJS leader Thushar Vellappally, who was arrested in a cheque bounce case at Ajman in UAE, returned to Kerala on Sunday after the court rejected the case.
SNDP Yogam arranged a warm welcome for Thushar at the airport. Activists of BDJS and SNDP reached the Nedumbassery airport to receive him. Vellappally Natesan had raised sharp criticisms against BJP for not helping Thushar in the issue. SNDP has arranged a road show to Advaita ashram in Angamaly to regain Thushar’s popularity. A special welcome meeting is organised at 11.30 am near the ashram.
The cheque bounce case charged against Thushar at Ajman was quashed after the court there found out that the documents submitted by the complainant Nazil Abdulla were not trustworthy.
Following this, Thushar got back his passport which was surrendered in the court for his bail. As the travel ban was lifted, Thushar was able to come back to Kerala.
The court accepted Thushar’s argument that he had not given a cheque to Nazil Abdulla. Earlier, Thushar had tried for an out of court settlement of the case. But after some time, he did not go forward with the attempt and seemed confident to win the case in the court.
