Thushar cheque case: Vellappally Natesan accuses Sreedharan Pillai of opportunism
Cherthala: SNDP Yogam Chairman and father of Thushar Vellappally who was arrested in Ajman in UAE in connection with a cheque bounce case, Vellappally Natesan slammed BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai and accused him of being opportunistic. Vellappally was speaking to reporters ahead of the meeting of SNDP Trust here.
“It was not right of Sreedharan Pillai to try and twist the situation for his gains. He should have behaved little more sophisticated. Union minister Muraleedharan had called me and said that he has contacted Indian Embassy in Dubai in connection with Thushar’s case,” he said.
Even when Thushar is repeating that there is no conspiracy or politics behind the case, why is Pillai voicing otherwise? He is a good lawyer, but now I am convinced that he doesn’t have brain, Vellappally further said.
Thushar was not sent to jail. He was lodged at the station. Chief Minister had directly involved for Thushar’s release. After knowing about the situation CM Pinarayi Vjayan called up NRI Yusuff Ali and asked him to arrange necessary measures for Thushar’s release. Yusuff has informed me that the case is not valid and the complaint is fake and there is nothing to worry,” he added.
